Meet Deb Goodfellow

Deb currently serves as the Broker for Goodfellow & Goodfellow Real Estate Ltd. Before beginning her real estate career in 1981, Deb was making a name for herself in the banking world, holding such positions as an Assistant Manager of Consumer Finance and Regional Mortgage Marketing Officer. Deb won an award for being the top Consumer Loans and Mortgage Officer in the Region which included a trip to meet Bank spokesperson and singer Anne Murray in Toronto, followed by a trip to London, England with fellow Regional winners. This experience proved a great base for her eventual transition into real estate sales. During her time in marketing at the bank, Deb trained mortgage officers, which proves to be a valuable resource when assisting first time home buyers and the real estate consumers in general. Deb has been the recipient of numerous real estate awards over the years and adds tremendous value and commitment to the team.
 
Beside working as a selling Broker/REALTOR®, Deb has also devoted the past fifteen years to "Giving Back" to the real estate industry. She has chaired, co-chaired and served on dozens of committees and task-forces, such as  serving on The Winnipeg Real Estate Board of Directors three times, serving as The President of The WinnipegREALTORS® Association in 2009. Deb also served on The Manitoba Real Estate Associations Board of Directors serving as their President in 2005. Of all of her involvement, she is most proud of her involvement with assisting the MREA in bringing the Quality of Life program to Manitoba, bringing in REALTORS Care® and the creation of the MREA Shelter Foundation, serving as its first Chair on the Board of Governors. She also served on the first Canadian Real Estate Association REALTORS Care® Board of Directors. Deb takes an active interest in the direction, growth and evolution of both the company that she co-owns and the real estate industry in which she serves. But she adheres to the fact that we, as REALTORS®, do not just sell homes, but we actually help to build strong, healthy and vibrant communities.

It's all about people on so many levels. "Giving Back" to the community and social consciousness is also important to Deb, as it is to the entire team. In the last few years she has had the honour to sit on The Siloam Mission Board of Directors, organize Easter Dinner for the homeless on behalf of the MREA REALTORS Care® and Shelter Foundation, assist in fundraising efforts with The Canadian Museum for Human Rights, work in Domestic Violence and Abuse Awareness with Dr. Currie on behalf of Prairie Action Foundation when organizing a "Breakfast with The Boys" event to raise money for PAF and in conjunction with The Province, in kicking off a past November as Domestic Violence and Abuse Awareness Month, assisting co-owner, Lori Lind as Team Captain of Mass Synergy, fundraise for Multiple Sclerosis and so much more. "It is said that we should all leave this Earth just a little bit better for having lived in it." Deb treasures personal time with her husband and partner of 40 years, Bob and her precious daughter, Ashley and son-dog Yorkie, Simon.
